Description
The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) requires a knowledgeable, experienced and organized individual to assist the Program Manager Emergency Management in the development and maintenance of the Emergency and Continuity Management Program. Responsibilities include:
- Accountable to conduct and maintain EPS Hazard Risk and Vulnerability Analyses.
- Accountable to improve facility emergency response planning.
- Recommend prevention and mitigation strategies.
- Develop and maintain impact analyses, continuity strategies and plans, and emergency plans.
- Develop and conduct exercises.
- Develop guidelines, protocols and educational tools for business continuity and emergency management.
- Develop short term resumption and long- term recovery strategies.
- Facilitate planning and preparedness sessions on a variety of emergency and continuity management related subjects.
- Standardize processes and procedures with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Prepare, develop, and maintain related documentation, reports, statistics, and recommendations.
- Research continuity of operations strategies, methodologies and guidelines and make recommendations for EPS to use.
- Prepare Emergency Preparedness materials for EPS.
- Work collaboratively with others to achieve a common goal.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
