Job Description
The Part‑Time Real Estate Instructor supports the College of Southern Nevada's Division of Workforce & Economic Development (DWED) by delivering high‑quality commercial and residential real estate coursework aligned with Nevada Real Estate Division (NRED) requirements and current industry practices. The role includes instruction, curriculum enhancement, marketing support, and program development to expand CSN's real estate training portfolio and strengthen workforce pathways across Southern Nevada. This is a Part‑time, non‑tenure track instructional role.
Key Responsibilities
Instruction & Facilitation — Teach engaging, student‑centered courses covering Nevada real estate law, residential and commercial transactions, property management, brokerage operations, contracts, ethics, and real estate finance.
Curriculum Development — Update and refine instructional materials to reflect Nevada statutes, market trends, and industry best practices; integrate case studies, applied learning, and exam‑readiness content.
Program Development — Collaborate with DWED leadership to design new short‑term certificates, CEU offerings, and employer‑aligned training pathways in real estate, property management, and commercial development.
Marketing & Outreach — Support enrollment growth by participating in outreach events, employer engagement, community presentations, and development of promotional content.
Assessment & Evaluation — Create assessments that measure competency and licensing readiness; provide timely feedback and maintain accurate instructional records.
Industry Engagement — Maintain relationships with Nevada brokers, developers, property managers, and industry associations to ensure program relevance and employer alignment.
Student Support — Advise learners on licensing steps, career pathways, and professional expectations in the Nevada real estate market.
Compliance & Quality Assurance — Ensure all instructional activities meet CSN, NSHE, and NRED standards.
Participation in instructor meetings, professional development, and program‑building activities may be required.
Minimum Qualifications
Active Nevada Real Estate License with a minimum of three years of experience in residential and/or commercial real estate.
Demonstrated knowledge of Nevada real estate law, ethics, contracts, and brokerage practices.
Experience teaching adults, training professionals, or facilitating workshops.
Strong communication, presentation, and digital‑learning skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Nevada Broker or Property Manager Permit.
Experience in commercial development, investment analysis, or property management.
Prior experience developing curriculum or workforce training programs.
Familiarity with Canvas, Zoom, and hybrid instructional models.
Starting Salary
$50 - $60 per hour
Please Note: Depending on experience, credentials, and course assignment. Compensation aligns with CSN DWED's part‑time instructor pay structure and may vary based on instructional load, curriculum development contributions, and participation in outreach or program development. Courses may be scheduled evenings, weekends, online, hybrid, or at CSN campuses across Southern Nevada.
