Staff Pharmacist – Per Diem
East Los Angeles Doctor's Hospital

As a per diem, nonexempt CPS Solutions, LLC Staff Pharmacist at East Los Angeles Doctors Hospital (ELADH), you will fill orders with accuracy; check technician-prepared products before release; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy.  This position may also provide coverage at Community Hospital of Huntington Park. 

Schedule: This per diem, nonexempt position will provide coverage for staff PTO and as needed 1-2 days/week (including weekends) up to 19 hours/week. This position will also provide coverage at Community Hospital of Huntington Park as needed. East LA Hospital pharmacy hours are Monday-Thursday from 7:00am-8:00pm and Friday-Sunday and holidays from 7:30am-4:00pm. Community Hospital of Huntington Park pharmacy hours are Monday-Friday from 7:30am-6:00pm and Saturday and Sunday from 7:30am-4:00pm.

Pay Range: $60-$74/hour based on experience 

About the Facility:  Licensed for 127 beds, ELADH provides a wide range of services, both on an inpatient and outpatient basis. Its inpatient services include Obstetrics, Pediatrics Medical/Surgical, Intensive and Coronary Care, and Sub-acute Care. Outpatient services include 24-hour Emergency Services, Laboratory, Diagnostic Imaging, Cardiopulmonary Medicine, and Rehabilitation Services. Community Hospital of Huntington Park is an 81-bed acute care hospital, accredited by the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program, that offers a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic services. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospitals to manage the day-to-day operations of these pharmacies. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.

About the Pharmacy:  East LA's centralized pharmacy utilizes MedSelect automation and the Paragon pharmacy system. Pharmacy hours are Monday-Thursday from 7:00am-8:00pm and Friday-Sunday and holidays from 7:30am-4:00pm.  

Required Qualifications:  

• Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy; PharmD preferred  
• Current California Pharmacist license in good standing  
• Successful completion of a Pharmacy Practice Residency program strongly preferred  
• 1+ years of experience as a pharmacist in a hospital setting preferred, new grads are acceptable   
• Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns  
• Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting  
• Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems   
• Effective communications skills; verbal and written 

Hospital Requirements: 

• (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months  
• (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity  
• Tdap or declination  
• HepB or declination  
• Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving immunity  
• (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th  
• Respirator FIT Mask Test  
• Physical examination by the hospital  
• Proof of completed Covid-19 vaccination or documentation noting the approved exemption
