Staff Pharmacist - Per Diem
Aurora Behavioral Health System East
Tempe, AZ  

As a per diem, nonexempt CPS Solutions, LLC Staff Pharmacist,you will oversee all pharmacy operations including planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising activities, according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal laws. You will recommend innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy to hospital administration and carry out mutually agreed upon programs with assistance from a full support team. 

Schedule: This per diem, nonexempt position will provide coverage on an as-needed basis up to 19 hours/week. There are no regularly scheduled hour for this position.

Starting Pay Range: $60-$65/hour based on recent work experience.  

About the Facility:  Aurora Behavioral Health System is Arizona's largest free-standing psychiatric hospital system.  We are dedicated to the wellness of individuals, their families, and the community through prevention, intervention, and treatment via our inpatient and outpatient services. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.

About the Pharmacy:  This pharmacy utilizes CPOE, Pyxis and Bestcare.  Pharmacy hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00am–3:30pm.  

Required Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy; PharmD preferred
  • Current Arizona pharmacist license in good standing 
  • Experience as a Pharmacist in a hospital setting preferred
  • Experience with Pyxis machines preferred
  • Effective communications skills; verbal and written

Hospital Requirements (may be required):  

  • Current Arizona pharmacist license in good standing (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
  • (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
  • Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving immunity 
  • Hep B3 Series (or declination) 
  • (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th  
  • COVID Vaccine-Full
