This behavioral health interdisciplinary (BHIP) psychologist position is administratively within the Mental Health Service. The BHIP Psychologist functions as part of an interdisciplinary team and is responsible for diagnosis of mental disorders, conducting psychological and/or neuropsychological assessments, providing psychotherapy through a variety of modalities and providing adjunctive interventions for treatment of medical disorders. The BHIP Psychologist may consult with medical center staff on a wide variety of patient care issues and may be involved in program evaluation and/or research activities.

Position: Full-time Staff Psychologist - Behavioral Health Interdisciplinary Program (BHIP). The primary job functions of a psychologist at this level include the provision of direct psychological patient care, consultation services on difficult or complex cases, and education of staff and trainee supervision.

  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of outpatient Mental Health providers and administrative support staff that focus on team-based care
  • Practice closer to top of license/scope
  • Coordinate care for Veterans in General Mental Health (GMH) Clinics
  • Potential starting base salary range: $103,409 - $134,435 per year
  • Daily schedule, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm (Telework available 1-2 days per pay period)
  • Recruitment/Relocation Incentive - May be authorized for highly qualified candidates
  • Education Debt Reduction Program: Authorized up to $200,000 for one to five years.


Qualifications:

  • Licensed Psychologist: Must have a doctoral degree in psychology, have completed a psychology internship, and hold an unrestricted license in any U.S. state or territory.
  • Previous VA experience is a plus!
