This Registered Nurse Supervisor A position is for a vacancy located in our residential facility, Fontainebleau Treatment Center/Alcohol & Treatment Center, in Mandeville, Louisiana . Please see the Examples of Work below for additional information for this position.

This position may be filled as a Probational Appointment. Applicants may be asked to serve a probationary period that may be anywhere between 6 months and 24 months.

Salary may be negotiable depending on the chosen applicant's level of experience. Below is a list of the pay range(s) for the position(s):

RN Supervisor A: $31.60/hour minimum - $56.86/hour maximum

Note regarding the advertised pay range: The maximum amount listed is the maximum salary a person can make while in this title and NOT the maximum amount we are allowed to pay a new hire.

RN Supervisor A's may be compensated shift differentials for actual hours worked, which range from $2.50/hour to $10.00/hour, depending on both the shift and the day worked. Additional premium pay is also paid for hours worked, which may be an additional $1.50/hour.

No Civil Service test score is required in order to be considered for this vacancy.

Minimum Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Possession of a valid Louisiana license or temporary permit to practice professional nursing or a multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state plus three years of professional nursing experience.

SUBSTITUTIONS:

A baccalaureate degree in nursing will substitute for one year of the required experience.

A master's degree in nursing or public health will substitute for one year of the required experience.

Specialized degrees less than a doctorate will substitute for a maximum of one year of the required experience.

A doctorate in nursing or public health will substitute for two years of the required experience.

Specialized degrees will substitute for a maximum of two years of the required experience.

NOTE: Any college hours or degree must be from an accredited college or university.

To provide first line supervision of nursing services either in a clinical, educational, or programmatic setting.

Examples of Work

This RN Supervisor A position serves as nursing supervisor and provides supervision and management of nursing personnel who provide services to patients in a 24-hour residential substance use treatment program, which is an ASAM Level III.5 Adult Clinically Managed High Intensity program. This type of program offers continuous observation, monitoring, and treatment by clinical staff to treat clients that are experiencing substance-related disorders and who have clinically relevant social and psychological problems. Duties of this position include dispensing medications, maintaining documentation in the electronic health record (EHR), administering screenings, tests, and other required labs, conducting assessments and screens for newly admitted clients, supervising lower-level nurses, and providing guidance and problem-solving solutions to subordinates. This position may be required to serve on after-hours on-call rotation. Driving and alternating shift work may also be required. The incumbent must possess a Chauffeur's/Class D driver's license within 90 days of hire.
