As Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you'll play an essential role in enriching the lives of seniors, creating meaningful connections, and making a difference every single day.
Your Role:
As the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), your role includes providing hands-on care and physical and emotional support to residents while maintaining a safe, comfortable, and home-like environment. You support residents' daily routines with dignity, respect, and compassion.
Position Highlights:
- Status: Full Time & Part Time
- Schedule: 1st & 3rd shift available
- Location: 20 Devonwood Drive, Farmington CT 06032
- Rate of Pay: $19-$21
What You'll Do:
- Provide care and support to a designated group of residents during your assigned shift, ensuring awareness of resident location and well-being.
- Observe, document, and report changes in resident condition including skin integrity, behavior, alertness, weight, dietary intake, and participation in activities.
- Respond promptly to resident call systems, alarms, and safety alerts.
- Communicate changes in care needs to supervisors or the Health Care Coordinator.
- Assist with continence management while maintaining sanitation of resident suites and community restrooms.
- Serve meals and assist residents with dining; report meal refusals or changes in appetite.
- Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and assigned work areas.
- Follow standard precautions for cleanliness, hygiene, and infection prevention.
- Promote resident independence while ensuring physical safety and dignity.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, ambulation, transfers, and eating.
- Encourage participation in life skills and life enrichment activities.
- Greet and assist residents, families, guests, vendors, and team members with professionalism and courtesy.
- Complete resident laundry as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications:
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable with a strong commitment to resident-centered care.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and document care accurately.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and assist residents throughout the workday.
