General Summary:

Supports the Benefits Department with the development, design, and administration of Dollar General's benefit programs, with a focus on coordinating communication campaigns to drive program awareness and optimal engagement of participants.

Job Details:

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work with internal and external partners to drive awareness of benefit initiatives, including coordinating design, review and distribution of benefits marketing collateral. Serve as primary point of contact for large scale engagement campaigns, such as Annual Enrollment, DGWell, and national health month promotions. Oversee communications budget.
  • Maintain all navigation platforms, ensuring its content is engaging and accurate. Identify opportunities to deliver timely, personalized messages to targeted audiences in an integrated manner across multiple platforms.
  • Support benefits team with employee escalation requests and department priorities, such as system testing, compliance and governance requirements, new vendor/program implementation, etc.
  • Leverage data warehouse, vendor reporting, and other data sources to understand population health trends and component program engagement.
  • Assist in the administration of internally administered programs, such as the Adoption Reimbursement and Tuition Reimbursement programs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Strong technical writing, design and verbal communication skills, with the ability to take complex or technical information to create clear and concise messages.
  • Demonstrates maturity in communicating with all levels of employees in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to maintain confidentiality of employee data and highly sensitive material.
  • Ability to create dashboards and metrics.
  • Knowledge of benefit related laws and regulations, including PPACA, state disability insurance laws, HIPAA, and COBRA is a plus.
  • Proficiency using office technology (Outlook, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrates a strong drive to achieve meaningful results, including maintaining productivity and good judgement in ambiguous situations
  • Excellent organizational skills including the ability to be adaptable, balancing multiple, diverse projects in a fast-paced environment; producing quality, detail-oriented, accurate results in short timeframes. § Enthusiastic and motivated, ability to effectively work as an individual contributor and in collaboration with others. § Maintains a resilient attitude, is able to receive feedback and rebound from setbacks and adversity when facing difficult situations.
Qualifications:

Work Experience &/or Education:

 

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, Human Resources or related field or equivalent work experience is strongly preferred.
