The Director of Digital and Site Merchandising is responsible for the merchandising and maintenance of the Dollar General digital catalogs. This is a leadership position that plays a central role in establishing and optimizing the processes, tools, and resources involved with the provisioning of product content for digital engagement and commerce. In addition to product content, this leader will also influence and align merchandising & marketing efforts to ensure that campaigns & content have relevant landing pages, curated products, and sufficient inventory to deliver a harmonic customer experience that produces sales results and measurable ROI.

Job Details:
  • Accountable for site readiness, weekly performance, and recommendations based on key KPIs (20%)
  • Manages cross-functional activities (Merchants, Vendors, Marketing, Photography, Operations, Product, and IT) to continuously improve digital content, item quality, and sales performance (20%)
  • Serve as the primary business leader and stakeholder that directs the implementation, integration, and tuning of a robust Product Information Management platform to collect and distribute marketing-oriented product information for digital consumption (20%)
  • Assemble and develop personnel to scale operations in concert with digital catalog growth (20%)
  • Manage P&L and reporting for Channel Innovation including mobile application businesses (20%)
Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilitites:

  • Experience in online merchandising, or e-commerce, executing customer-facing online experiences
  • Ability to learn new software and technology tools quickly
  • Ability to communicate business needs for new software and technology tools
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship building skills
  • Experience managing cross-functionally, and ability to adapt personal style to different environments
  • Strong strategic, prioritization, and critical thinking skills

Work Experience and/or Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in retail, e-commerce, merchandising, or planning with at least 3 years in digital applications.
