General Summary:

This role will focus on the accurate management, tracking, and reporting of the company's fixed assets, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and take ownership of processes critical to the success of our financial operations.

Job Details:

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update the fixed asset sub-ledger, including additions, disposals, transfers, and adjustments. 
  • Ensure proper classification, capitalization, and depreciation of fixed assets in accordance with GAAP and company policies. 
  • Review and track capital projects and construction in progress (CIP).
  • Reconcile fixed asset accounts and analyze variances to ensure alignment with the general ledger. 
  • Run & maintain detail reports to assist with various requests from other departments within the company.
  • Assist with audits by providing documentation and supporting schedules related to fixed assets.
  • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes related to fixed assets.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):

  • High-level of organization and ability to prioritize assignments. Strong understanding of GAAP.
  • Ability to work independent and collaboratively as a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Access and Excel including: vlookups and pivot tables & proficiency in accounting software (experience with ERP systems such as Oracle is a plus).
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling financial information.
Qualifications:

Work Experience &/or Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • 0-3 years of accounting experience, with a focus on fixed assets preferred.
