Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate FCx Core Values in daily internal and external interactions.
- Perform daily workload check and distribute as needed amongst the team to maximize efficiency and reduce the need for overtime.
- Review customer account distribution amongst the inside sales team and make recommendations for Ops/VPs if changes need to occur.
- Review weekly timecards for approval, changes; update and correct as needed.
- Approve PTO requests in Workday and record PTO on the branch public calendar. Helps create and monitor goals that aligns with company goals.
- Provide expertise, leadership, training, and coaching to a team of 2-6 Inside Sales Representatives including:
- Provide input on Introductory & Annual Performance Reviews, as well as coaching and recommendations for performance improvement plans.
- Sales Tactics, Customer Service Advice, and Product Expertise to enhance overall sales environment.
- Sell company products and services to customers by processing orders, price and delivery inquiries, providing technical and application information, soliciting customer orders and suggesting additional products in a fast paced multi-tasking environment.
- Maintains responsibility of orders from quotation to collection:
- Select and specify a variety of products utilizing a variety of FCX and vendor supplied tools/software.
- Responds to customer inquiries.
- Processes customers' orders and send order acknowledgements.
- Review customer purchase orders for special conditions/documentation
- Checks availability and verifies ship dates.
- Increases order size by suggesting related items, explaining features, and checking customer's buying history.
- Processes and expedites orders, customer returns and returns to vendors in an accurate and timely manner. Locates product and creates purchase orders. Follows-up with vendors to ensure timely delivery.
- Assist in properly training and guiding the inside sales team to resolve issues in P21. Support the operations/management team on leading initiatives with the inside sales team. Promotes and maintains effective working relationships with suppliers and customers Negotiates pricing and delivery with vendors when necessary.
- Works closely with Outside Salesman in soliciting business, executing order transactions and maintaining superior customer service levels.
- Communicates effectively and participates positively as a member of the Branch/Division inside sales team (e.g. sharing work load when possible, picking incoming phone calls, etc.)
- Achieves and maintains rapport with customers and works to give them the best possible service. This is done through a combination of problem solving skills, attention to detail, and developing a friendly but professional relationship with customers.
- Maximizes gross margin by ensuring that FCX gets paid for superior service, problem solving, and technical expertise.
- Resolves customer issues such as warranty claims, product returns, credit and collection, and other customer service issues.
- Reviews open customer order reports and takes action on open items; specifically, those items that may be at risk in meeting the customer's promised delivery date. Maintains Distribution System backorder report, associated customer expediting report/notices, and customer notification, as required.

Essential Physical Functions/Equipment Used:
- Able to operate standard office equipment, namely computer, multi-line VoIP phone system, printer/copier/scanner and other equipment as needed.
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time while viewing computer screen.
- Previous experience with Prophet21 (P21) or similar CRM/ERP systems.

Preferred Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, preferably in Industrial Distribution, Engineering & Management, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering; equivalent experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
- 5-7+ years' experience in an Inside Technical Sales/Customer Service/Application Engineer role with an Industrial Distributor required.
- Previous experience with Process Flow Control equipment required; Valves (Control, Ball, Butterfly, Plug Knife gate, etc.), Instrumentation, Actuators strongly desired.
