Eckerd Connects is a nonprofit civic and social services organization with programs in 22 states. The role of Pricing Analyst is responsible for data analytics and data-driven pricing recommendations for new business/RFPs in the areas of Workforce Development, Community-Based programs, Foster Care Programs and DCF/DJJ Residential youth facilities.
Position Concept
The Pricing Analyst will play a critical role in the development and execution of pricing strategies to maximize revenue. This role involves analyzing market trends, customer behavior, and competitive pricing to determine optimal pricing for procurements and contracts. The Pricing Analyst will collaborate with various departments to ensure that pricing strategies are aligned with mission objectives.
Essential Functions
- Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to market conditions, customer preferences, and competitor pricing. Utilize this data to develop pricing strategies that align with the organizational goals.
- Pricing Strategy Development: Work closely with the cross functional teams to develop and implement pricing models for new and existing products. Continuously refine pricing strategies based on market feedback and performance data.
- Financial Modeling: Create financial models to forecast the impact of pricing changes on sales volumes, profit margins, and overall profitability. Provide recommendations to senior management based on these models.
- Competitive Analysis: Monitor competitor pricing and market trends. Provide insights and recommendations to maintain competitive advantage while maximizing profitability.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed pricing reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key findings, trends, and recommendations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, product development, and finance to ensure cohesive pricing strategies and effective implementation.
- Customer Insights: Analyze customer data to understand price sensitivity and elasticity, using insights to inform pricing decisions.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve pricing processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field required. Advanced degree or relevant certification (e.g., Certified Pricing Professional) is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in pricing analysis, financial analysis, or a related field required. Experience in the nonprofit or government sector is preferred.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau). Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledgeable in the laws, ordinances, standards, and regulations pertaining to the specific duties and responsibilities of the position. Familiarity with pricing software and financial modeling techniques.
- Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy. Appropriate and valid state driver's license. Must be able to meet requirements for Eckerd's Auto Insurance and be able to drive for business purposes.
