Description

The System Director, Facilities, Security & Asset Management is responsible for enterprise oversight of Environment of Care, Safety, Emergency Management, Regulatory Compliance, Facilities Operations, Asset Lifecycle Management, Recall Management, and Facilities Vendor Governance. This role serves as the primary leadership contact for the organization's facilities management partners and ensures compliance with DNV, CMS, OSHA, NFPA, and internal standards while supporting long-term asset reliability, capital planning, and operational excellence across all Emerus facilities.



Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, required
  • Master's Degree, preferred
  • 5 years General Safety or Environment of Care experience in lieu of education
  • Hospital experience required
  • 3 years Management level experience in a position dedicated to either General Safety or Environment of Care programs, Required
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises Safety Management personnel as assigned and provides oversight of contracted facility management partners, consultants, and vendors. Responsible for performance management, employee development, work prioritization, goal setting, and ensuring achievement of departmental objectives.
  • Preferred Certifications include: CHFM (Certified Healthcare Facility Manager), CHSP (Certified Healthcare Safety Professional), CHEP (Certified Healthcare Emergency Professional), Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Knowledge of and experience with hospital Infection Prevention & Control systems and standards
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws including but not limited to, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes.

  • Knowledge of and experience with analysis techniques (methods), including root cause analysis, cause and effect analysis, and corrective or preventative action plan development

  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in oral, written and electronic formats with both internal and external customers
  • Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking abilities with proactive decision-making and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Demonstrates good organizational skills
