Job Summary:
This practice cares for a high-volume of patients in the community and is part of the Englewood Health Physician Network (EHPN). Under the direction of the Practice Administrator and/or EHPN Director, this position Supports EHPN practice site operations by maintaining office systems and supervising staff. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining timely flow of patients; preparing payroll; controlling correspondence; designing filing systems; reviewing and approving supply requisitions; assigning and monitoring administrative functions and supervising staff. In addition, they will achieve financial objectives by participating in annual budget preparation; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; and initiating corrective actions.

The office manager will maintain office services by organizing office operations and procedures; preparing payroll; maintains a timely flow of patients; schedule, coaches, monitors and disciplines staff; reviews and approves supply requisitions.

Job Essentials:

  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in medical office management in an Oncology practice setting.
  • Three (3) years of administrative experience including one year of medical office experience.
  • The office manager provides leadership and models excellence.
  • Knowledge of insurance plans (Medicare, Medicaid and commercial plans) and revenue cycle management.
  • Knowledge of quality measures and population health reporting.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and experience with electronic medical records.
  • Proven skill in planning, organizing, delegating and supervising.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with patients, medical and administrative staff, and the public.
  • Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures and systems.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and applications.
  • Knowledge of medical practices, terminology.
  • Knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and sentence structure to answer correspondence and prepare reports.
  • Skill in evaluating the effectiveness of existing methods and procedures.
  • Skill in operating a variety of office equipment.


Education:

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
