We are seeking an experienced Space Systems Senior Systems Engineer to support Space Systems Command Battle Management Command, Control, and Communications (SSC/BC) portfolio. The position is available in El Segundo, California. 

 Duties include but are not limited to:

- Support enterprise integration and modernization of tactical level Command, Control & Communications (C3) capabilities to transform satellite operations and improve resiliency.
- Perform space acquisitions, engineering, operations, and technical advice and assistance for all projects and programs, as required, to support any stage of the acquisition life cycle.
- Provide technical oversight of development efforts (i.e., design, development, manufacturing, assembly, integration, test, production and sustainment) whether they are traditional acquisition methods (e.g., waterfall, spiral, etc.) or agile/prototype.
- Support development of operational concepts, requirements, and architectural designs; evolve system architectures, conduct and analyze requirements flow down, propose verification methodologies and mitigation approaches.
- Conduct modeling, simulation and analysis as needed.
- Manage risk management processes and methods and recommend/implement risk reduction measures.

 

Qualifications

- Master's and/or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
- Experience working in development environment and/or U.S. Government weapons system program office. 
- Professional certification (e.g., Professional Engineer, INCOSE CSEP, ITEA CTEP, Agile PM/PO, etc.).

Requirements

-MS/MA with more than 10 years of relevant experience
- Experience in highly classified space control space, ground, and C2 systems (concepts, architecture, development including requirements, build and integration, and test, and operations)
- Experience in multiple space control-related technologies, including but not limited to optical sensors, radar, electronic support, signals intelligence, and communications
- Highly knowledgeable in ground system design, development, integration, test, and operations
- Demonstrates ability to organize and conduct system level technical design reviews and audits
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and writing) skills.
- Must have experience in using critical thinking to prepare written reports and presentations for decision makers.
- MUST HAVE AT A MINIMUM, A CURRENT TOP SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE AND BE ABLE TO OBTAIN A TS/SCI CLEARANCE, FOR WHICH YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN. YOU WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION IF YOU DO NOT MEET THIS REQUIREMENT.
