The Lead Maintenance Planner (NRM) is responsible for all aspects of his/her assigned project throughout its life cycle. Lead planners will walk down scope, verify materials, photograph, step out jobs planning tool, identify rental equipment needs and craft support needs.  Lead planners are the liaison between the contract/maintenance workers in the field and NRM management.  Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications: 

 

 

·         During Planning Phase conducts field walk downs with all applicable parties for scope development/clarification.

·         Input job steps in the planning system as needed, create material BOM's, verify accuracy and submit information to the coordinator / PM.

·         Gather and input project information into job folders located on the NRM shared drive.

·         Effectively communicates with the coordinator / PM for the development of a schedule.

·         Reach out for quotes to complete the defined scope of work and submit quotes to the coordinators / PM for review.

·         Effectively communicates with the coordinator / PM and material requisitioner to build accurate estimates to complete the assigned project.

·         Attend SF-20 and pre-job meetings with all stakeholders involved.

·         Provide accurate updates to coordinators / PM during the planning process.

·         During Execution phase, follow all job steps in the field and ensure work is being completed safely and to standards.

·         Remove roadblocks for the field workers to allow the work to progress on schedule.

·         Look-ahead to mitigate future issues with material, equipment, manpower or any other resources.

·         Provide accurate and timely updates to the coordinator / PM throughout the project's life cycle.

·         Follow any post work activities in the field after mechanical completion.

·         Upon completion of a project, walk out the work areas with operations and contractors to verify cleanliness.

·         Maintain a collaborative, clean, and safe work area.

·         Assist with the continuous improvement of the department.

·         Attend and contribute to lessons learned meetings.

·         Other duties as assigned.



Requirements

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications: 

 

·         High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required. 

·         7 years craft or operations experience required.  

  • Working knowledge of industry safety, quality standards and environmental requirements.
  • Experience with coordinating maintenance-related work including ordering supplies/materials, scheduling contractors and producing job plans is required.  
  • Light lifting, squatting and climbing in an industrial setting.  
  • Proficiency required in general computer use including Microsoft suite, and email. 
  • Experience using maintenance management software preferred.    
  • Must have effective organizational skills. 
  • Must be a team player that interacts effectively with co-workers in a group or in independent cooperative activities. 
  • Must possess excellent communications skills and have a desire to be a part of a work group that strives for excellence in service to customers and the company. 
  • Must be accountable and self-driven to learn and continuously strive for improvement.
