Client Executive Role: Service & Sales
Mission: To retain 100% of accounts and work with our producer(s) to grow our book of business by delivering world class service in measurable ways. Build lasting relationships with clients by working efficiently, advising them on risk, and earning their trust.
This document will serve as a resource and highlight the role of a client executive. The Client Executive should be an extension of the producer and try to think like one in terms of servicing accounts – anticipate needs, plan, communicate with client, underwriters, and account team, and delegate as needed.
Services Necessary to Achieve Mission:
Onboard Account- Create Service Timeline
Anticipate Needs, Coverage Questions
Coordinating, Loss Control
Claims, Marketing & others as necessary
Build Relationships
Double Check Policies
Review for Coverage Recommendations (account round)
Contract Reviews/Negotiations:
It's not “No” its “here's what we can do”
EMR Projections, Audits
Install Zywave, Introduce all the tools included. (OSHA, Documents)
New Business & Renewal Planning:
Work with Producer and CSA to create plan no less than 90 day out
Negotiate with carriers, don't just accept it
Gather Information in the least burdensome manner
Provide compelling narratives
Stewardship meeting – should be tied to SERVICE TIMELINE and include a report detailing:
Claims Review from Claims Team
Reports, Adjuster contact on over $25k, Plan of action on open claims
Insurer Evaluation
Pricing, Coverage, Claim handling
Audit Review
Exposures Estimates against YTD Client Expectations
ONI/EPIC Services Performed
Benchmarking
Certs Issued
Marketing Efforts
Number of Calls logged
Optional Insurance Presented
Captive, Alt Risk, Higher Limits
Background and Experience:
Desire to help others, specifically businesses be successful
Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
Minimum 5 (5) years commercial insurance experience
Valid Indiana Property & Casualty License
Maintain and Manage required licensing continuing education requirements
Advanced insurance designation required; AAI or CIC
Proficiency with Microsoft products
Strong customer service skills with an ability to assess insurance coverage needs and make recommendations
Thorough understanding of Commercial Lines underwriting, coverages and risk analysis
Must be detail oriented, excel in a fast-paced environment, able to meet deadlines and work with a sense of urgency
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Goal oriented and highly self-motivated and resourceful to achieve results
Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
