Job Title: SkillBridge Claims Assistant

Duration: Minimum 120-day/4-month training program
Role Overview:
As a SkillBridge Claims Assistant at EPIC Brokers, you will train for a crucial role in supporting our clients throughout the claims process. Your focus will be on providing exceptional service, learning about Property and Casualty Insurance policies, and transitioning from military service to a civilian career.
Responsibilities:
Administrative Assistance:
- Set up new claims and follow up on ongoing cases utilizing the Agency Management System.
- Create and maintain claims reports using Microsoft Office (Excel).
Claims Reporting:
- Respond to external client requests promptly (within 24 hours).
- Pull claim reports and loss data from various carrier/TPA technology platforms or websites.
Client Interaction:
- Prepare claim booklets and assist with administrative tasks.
- Build trust and confidence by addressing client questions and issues.
Liaison Role:
- Coordinate between clients, claims adjusters, attorneys, and medical providers.
Data Management:
- Update company contacts sheet and assist with claims trending reports.
- Ensure timely and accurate claim reports and claim notes.
Statistical Evaluation:
- Perform unit statistical claim assessments.
Continuous Learning:
- Stay informed about workers' compensation laws, industry updates, and carrier developments.
Projection Development:
- Create Experience Modification projections for clients and internal staff using Excel or specific platforms.
Claims Management:
- Oversee all aspects of the claims process.
- Respond promptly to internal staff regarding claim-related inquiries.
Marketing Efforts:
- Prepare claims reports for renewals and new business initiatives.
Qualifications:
Experience Requirements:
- Education: College degree preferred or equivalent working experience.
- Military Transition: Current active military servicemember seeking a SkillBridge transition role, available for a minimum of 4 months (ideally 6 months).
- Licensing: Willingness to study for and successfully complete Property and Casualty licensing requirements.
- Software Proficiency: Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (word processing, spreadsheets, database, Outlook, and presentation software) preferred.

Salary Information:
The national average salary for this role ranges from $50,000 to $65,000 in base pay (exclusive of bonuses or benefits). The actual base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, certifications, education, and market data.
