- Must have ER experience. Provides direct and indirect patient care in the emergency, acute care, outpatient, and swing bed care setting. Provides care that reflects initiative, flexibility and responsibility indicative of professional expectation with a minimum of supervision. Is able to triage patients safely, rapidly and accurately. Determines priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs. Communicates with the attending provider about changes in patient's status and results of diagnostic studies. Able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
- Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care. Completes orientation packet and checklist as assigned. Cross trains to learn the use of any new equipment. Uses triage process to ensure timely and appropriate care to patients. Documents pain assessments and re-assessment consistently in the electronic health record (EHR). Follows Provider orders from the electronic medical record consistently. Supports and maintains a culture of safety and quality.
- Job Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current RN license within the state of practice.
- Current AHA BLS Certification.
- AHA ACLS Certified within six (6) months of hire.
- TNCC within six (6) months of hire.
- NRP within 1 year of hire.
- AHA PALS within six (6) months of hire.
- Schedule Information
- If they work 36 hours they will be paid 36 hours. If they leave early or take a day off they will not be paid for time not worked.
