The Office Clerk will support school bus Monitor compliance at the Mt Vernon location, ensuring smooth communication throughout the onboarding process and during employment. This role is responsible for maintaining Monitors' compliance, scheduling training and classes, uploading documents into databases, answering phones, and assisting with administrative tasks. This position reports directly to the Location's District and Compliance Managers, and will assist in all aspects to keep all Monitors at the location in compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with onboarding Monitors by ensuring new recruits are welcomed and provided with necessary information.
- Support the Compliance and Onboarding Managers with administrative tasks as needed.
- Maintain organized records and documents related to location all Monitors.
- Ensure that all Monitors are kept in compliance with State, Local, and company regulations and policies.
- Schedule Monitors for all upcoming classes, retraining, and appointments.
- Upload files and documents into respective databases.
Minimum Education or Certifications Required
- High school or equivalent
Minimum Experience or Skills Required
- 3 years business or operations experience required; transportation experience preferred
- Solid understanding of Driver Compliance Program
- Strong knowledge of Federal/State/Provincial requirements for Commercial Drivers
- Ability to provide leadership, training and coaching for location staff in Driver Compliance Program
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft® software applications, including PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to work within a team structure, collaborating closely with colleagues and operating interdependently to achieve assigned tasks.
- Proficient interpersonal and social skills
- Flexible and adaptable in a fast paced, changing environment
- Strong organizational, analytical and time management skills
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Bus yard/office while traveling
- Travel required, up to 50%
