Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Business Excellence Director located in Guadalajara, North Campus.

Reporting to the Business Excellence Senior Director, Business Excellence Director role involves being responsible for continuously driving a culture of excellence in the organization, coaching and enabling waste removal activities using lean and six sigma approaches and tools and guiding actions to a sustainable conclusion.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Establish and execute strategic plans for Lean organization to maximize its value added, to exceed operational goals and to create an advantage in the business.
  • Take action to drive financial performance in the areas of productivity, purchase price, and facility variances.
  • Develop and execute a Lean and six sigma strategy that supports the site's overall market driven business model in line with the GBE A3.
  • Drive continuous improvement culture while implementing the strategic roadmap to achieve breakthrough performance in working capital, quality, delivery, cost, and growth.
  • Meet with Executive team periodically to review and evaluate KOI's.
  • Partner with other managers to establish strategic plans and objectives.
  • Conduct Lean Operation/Supply Chain/Office training.
  • Lean Supply Chain, Operation & Office – LMT Scoring and tracker, mentor, review and approval Deploy activities to close the gaps identified in line with the GBE A3.
  • Best Practice (BP) identification and yokoten.
  • Manage Facilitator Kaizen project IKW and EKW, provide Kaizen application expertise at the Gemba.
  • Coach, share and ensure usage of lean tools.
  • Encourage, motivate & drive the team toward achieving the goals.
  • Educate, train and align the team towards the Kaizen Workshop goals.
  • Special project/segment/customer priorities to formulate and propose strategy of Lean Transformation.
  • Coach and facilitate Lean Transformation activities through Kaizen workshops and Small Group Activities.
  • For assigned special project/segment/customer priorities to formulate and propose strategy of Lean.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • BA/BS/MBA or equivalent work experience.
  • Fluent English.
  • Previous management experience.
  • Ability to identify creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes and systems.
  • Able to utilize tools to monitor cost and cost trends, continuously striving to improve value.
  • Effective interpersonal skills with ability to negotiate and influence for positive outcomes.
  • Strong innovation skills and creativity.
  • Lean and Six Sigma Black Belt is also a plus.
