Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Business Excellence Manager located in Guadalajara, North Campus.

The Business Excellence Manager role involves providing direct contribution to teams according to established policies and goals. Demonstrates skills in guiding and/or facilitating.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Act as a first point contact to the customer internal and external.
  • Lead and support New Product Introduction (NPI) processes, leveraging 3P (Production Preparation Process) methodologies to optimize and to ensure readiness for large-scale manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize assembly processes, wiring, and routing, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Oversee mechanical assembly and metal fabrication for large components, racks, and automotive parts.
  • Implement continuous improvement strategies in automotive industry environments, focusing on large-scale assemblies and complex structures.
  • Coordinate activities of implementation team.
  • Act as a change agent and drive lean and six sigma activities as defined in the GBE A3.
  • Applying and deploying Flex Lean Enterprise Values across the entire organization.
  • In charge of eliminating waste and creating value by reducing variation in the processes to achieve sustainable results throughout the organization and segment.
  • Utilize Continuous Improvement (Kaizen) techniques, initiate process improvements, cycle time reductions, cost reductions and other activities aimed at reducing/eliminating non-value-added activities in the process.
  • Drive and share the best identified practices according to the agreed timelines.
  • Create and validate processes/standards based on standard work and BPs.
  • Conduct Lean and Six Sigma training and accelerate the proliferation of a Lean Continuous Improvement culture throughout the organization by co-guiding and co-facilitating Lean deployment
  • Perform assessment of CIMT Operation/Supply chain/Office and drive initiatives to close gaps.
  • Diligently participate in the selection and executions of Lean and Six Sigma projects.
  • For assigned special project/segment/customer priorities to formulate and propose strategy of Lean 

Transformation. Coach and facilitate Lean Transformation activities through Kaizen workshops and Small Group Activities.

  • Incentivize participation in the training of Flex Employees, Suppliers, and Customers.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Experience in manufacturing or automotive industry required.
  • Experience in assembly processes, wiring, and routing within industrial or automotive sectors.
  • Knowledge of mechanical assembly and metalworking techniques for large components.
  • Familiarity with racks and large parts manufacturing in automotive or related industries.
  • Strong background in lean manufacturing, NPI, and 3P implementation.
  • Strong lean and six sigma methodology experience.
  • Demonstrates expert functional, technical and/ or people management skills.
  • Able to build strong relationships to customers.
  • Lead projects and business initiatives.
  • Ability to resolve complex objectives.
  • Strong continuous improvement of knowledge.
  • BA/BS degree.
  • Preferrable experience using new technologies in data science (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Basic finance knowledge.
  • Related quality or engineering experience.
  • Advanced English
  • Advanced MS Office.
  • Demonstrate ability to collaborate in partnerships.
  • Black belt certification is preferred.
