Job summary:

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add an EH&S Engineer located in Tijuana.

Reporting to the EH&S Manager, EH&S Engineer role involves in charge of developing, implementing and monitoring company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations. Accident-free, healthy work.

What a typical day looks like:

• Consults with all departments on design and use of equipment, fire prevention and safety programs 

• Examines plans and specifications for new machinery or equipment to define if all safety precautions have been included. 

• Tours plant to inspect fire and safety equipment, machinery and facilities to identify and correct potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations. 

• Define requirements for safety clothing and devices, and designs, builds and installs or directs installation of safety devices on machinery. 

• Conduct or coordinates safety training to educate workers about emergency acknowledge, safety policies, laws and practices. 

• Investigates industrial accidents to minimize recurrence and prepares accident reports. 

• Conducts hygiene evaluation. 

• In charge of identifying health and safety hazards and recommending corrective actions. 

• Serves as internal consultant to business units on ergonomics, hazardous materials, industrial hygiene and fire and chemical safety matters. 

• Audits business units. 

• Interfaces with outside vendors, contractors and engineers regarding facilities, chemicals and other workplace health and safety related matters. 

• Compiles and submits safety reports. 

• Administers workers' compensation
• Ejecutar actividades relacionadas con ISO 14001 y 45001

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

• Bachelor's degree.
• Intermediate English.
• Certified as a lead auditor in ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Implementation and monitoring of EHS KPIs (incidents, illnesses, compliance with work plans).
• In charge of identifying health and safety hazards and recommending corrective actions.
• Serves as internal consultant to business units on ergonomics, hazardous materials, industrial hygiene and fire and chemical safety matters.
• Audit business units and have experience in government audits.
• Interfaces with outside vendors, contractors and engineers regarding facilities, chemicals and other workplace health and safety related matters.
• Compiles and submits safety reports.
