To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add an IT Support Technician located in San Jose, California.
Reporting to the IT Manager, the IT Support Technician role involves being in charge of installing and helping desktop/laptop hardware and software, computers peripherals, office printers and maintain PC assets.
What a typical day looks like:
- Manage the IT relationship of VIP issues and ensure the user is satisfied with the remediation.
- Collaborate with business leaders and necessary IT teams to ensure our VIP users' endpoint, mobile device, peripherals, applications, and their other assigned devices are consistently working optimally.
- Review, respond, and resolve assigned trouble tickets and impromptu tasks from leadership, Help Desk, IT teams, or our VIP users. Effectively document and communicate the resolution of issues to applicable IT teams and users appropriately.
- Research, test, and support existing and new endpoint technologies requested by VIP users to ensure lasting compatibility and administration.
- Train VIPs and supporting users to use the appropriate devices and applications.
- Create and maintain technical documentation to be used by End User Services, users, and Systems Engineering teams.
- Lead the IT documentation effort to create an ongoing knowledge base for the entire user community.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience/certification.
- At least 3 years providing Executive Support
- At least 3 years installing and supporting Windows 10 desktops, OS X, MS Office Suite, Android and iOS mobile devices.
- Must have very strong OS X experience
- At least 3 years installing and configuring computer peripherals such as external monitors, cameras, printers, scanner, etc.
- At least 3 years installing and configuring end-user applications and ensuring they are patched and running optimally for the user.
- Experience working with DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, Microsoft Active Directory Security Groups and Active Directory Group Policies.
- Experience with Mobile Device Management technologies.
- Exemplary documentation skills.
- Experience defining objectives, goals, schedules, and assignments with business leaders.
- Experience providing customer service to internal customers.
- Experience prioritizing workload and scheduling effectively to meet deadlines.
- Experience developing ways to accomplishing goals with little or no supervision, depending on oneself to complete objectives and determining when escalation of issues is necessary.
- CompTIA A+ and/or Network+ certifications a plus.
- Experience with Zoom application.
- Ability to speak and understand English.
