Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add an Equipment Maintenance Engineer located in Jiading Shanghai.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Mechanical:  Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as conveyor systems and production machines and equipment. Or, Electrical:  Maintains and troubleshoots in-circuit and functional testers, associated test fixtures, stress chambers and chamber racks to ensure manufacturing test equipment is on-line.
  • Define/develop electronics workmanship and requirements
  • Machine troubleshooting
  • Machine set-up
  • Provide training to machine operator
  • Systematically handling of instrument documentation
  • Create machine maintenance plan
  • Spare part control
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Insure low machine down time
  • Analyze quality or production problem and take countermeasure
  • Through troubleshooting, identifies machine malfunctions and isolates the failure mechanism.
  • Repairs the failure mechanism in the most cost-effective manner.
  • Performs preventive maintenance at specified intervals and schedules.
  • Performs calibrations and re-qualifications on equipment at specified intervals and schedules.
  • Assists process technicians and engineers with the installation and removal of process equipment.
  • Researches and implements corrective action reports and process tracking mechanisms.
  • Records times and problems in equipment logs.
  • Provides daily equipment functioning activity information.
  • Sets up standard and special purpose laboratory equipment to test, evaluate and calibrate other instruments and test equipment.
  • Disassembles instruments and equipment and inspects components for defects.
  • Aligns repairs, replaces, and balances component parts and circuitry.
  • Devises formulas to solve problems in measurements and calibrations.
  • Assists engineers in formulating test, calibration, repair and evaluation plans and procedures to maintain precision accuracy of measuring, recording, and indicating instruments and equipment.
  • May require travel to other sites of Company or equipment vendors' locations.
  • Highest level may perform both software and hardware maintenance.
  • Allocating work to a team of fitters.
  • Checking and calibrating instruments to make sure they are accurate.
  • Fitting new parts.
  • Carrying out quality inspections.
  • Acknowledging immediately to equipment breakdowns.
  • Fixing faults on site or arranging for replacement machinery or equipment to be installed.
  • Keeping production managers informed of progress.
  • Organizing teams or unipersonal to make sure that 24-hour cover is available.
  • Working on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or computerized systems.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Typically requires an bachelor degree or above in related field, military technical training or equivalent education and training.
  • Preferable major is electronic and/or mechanical engineering.
  • Typically requires 5 years of related experience.
  • 2-3 years working experience in production with electronic products knowledge of electrical instruments i.e. tests instruments and fixtures within electronic production.
  • Good IT knowledge, MS office skills.
  • Good skill in reading, writing English, speaking English will be a plus.
