Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we are looking to add a Manager - Process and Standards, based in Pune, supporting Corporate and Global Operations.

Flex is looking for a results‑driven and collaborative leader to drive process excellence, standardization, and cross‑department transformation across the organization. This role is responsible for defining and implementing standard ways of working across functions. It also supports the Flex Future Factory and digitalization initiatives across the organization.

The ideal candidate brings hands‑on experience from engineering, production, lean, or project environments and is comfortable influencing stakeholders in a global, matrixed organization.

This role also involves managing transformation projects with exposure to new technologies such as AI and Machine Learning. The candidate should have a strong willingness to learn, adapt, and grow.

What A Typical Day Looks Like:

  • Lead cross‑department transformation initiatives focused on process standardization, operational excellence, and scalable ways of working.
  • Define, document, validate, and deploy global process standards and standard ways of working for business owners and SMEs across Engineering, Production, LEAN, and Project Management functions.
  • Support Flex Future Factory Program initiatives, including digitalization, automation, analytics, and data‑driven improvement use cases.
  • Work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to align best practices and ensure consistent execution across sites and regions.
  • Facilitate workshops, Kaizen events, and working sessions to identify gaps, design future‑state processes, and drive adoption of standards.
  • Convert complex operational problems into simple, scalable, and sustainable process solutions.
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders to ensure standards support business priorities and operational flexibility.
  • Track key performance indicators and maturity metrics to measure the effectiveness and sustainability of deployed standards.
  • Prepare and present updates, insights, and recommendations in leadership and governance reviews.
  • Provide guidance and coaching on process excellence, transformation approaches, and structured problem solving.

The Experience we're Looking to Add to The Team:

  • 8+ years of industry experience, preferably in EMS or complex manufacturing environments.
  • Experience gained from one or more of the following functions:
    • Engineering
    • Production / Manufacturing Operations
    • LEAN / Operational Excellence / Continuous Improvement
    • Project or Program Management
  • Experience working in cross‑functional and global environments, influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Proven ability to deliver complex transformation or digital initiatives from concept to rollout and sustainment.
  • Good understanding of process design, standardization, continuous improvement, and transformation methods.
  • Exposure to digital transformation, Future Factory, Industry 4.0, automation, or analytics is preferred.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work as a peer to senior team members.
  • Solid project management skills and the ability to handle multiple initiatives at the same time.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, global, and matrixed environment.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including preparing executive‑level presentations; experience with process modeling or analytics tools is a plus.
