Job Summary

Material Quotation Analyst I (G23)

Position Summary

The Material Quotation Analyst is responsible for supporting Sales, Business Development, Supply Chain, and Customer Focus Teams by providing accurate and competitive material cost quotations. The role involves analyzing Bills of Materials (BOMs), sourcing component pricing, supporting RFQ activities, engaging with suppliers, and developing cost-effective quotation packages that enhance customer satisfaction and drive business growth

Key Responsibilities

RFQ & Quotation Management

• Process customer and internal RFQ requests within defined timelines.
• Prepare material cost estimates and quotation packages for new business opportunities.
• Support Business Development and Sales teams with competitive costing solutions.
• Ensure quotation data accuracy and completeness prior to submission.

Cost Analysis & Supplier Engagement

• Source and identify the most cost-effective suppliers and material solutions.
• Obtain supplier quotations and validate pricing against market benchmarks.
• Support cost-reduction initiatives through alternate sourcing, redesign recommendations, and process substitution opportunities.
• Collaborate with Commodity Managers and Procurement teams to optimize material costs.

BOM & Data Management

• Review and validate customer Bill of Materials (BOMs).
• Upload and maintain BOM information in quotation management systems.
• Verify AVL/AML compliance and component lifecycle status where applicable.
• Ensure data integrity within quotation and ERP tools

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with Sales, Program Management, Procurement, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams.
• Coordinate with suppliers and material groups to gather pricing, lead-time, and availability information.
• Provide timely responses to customer and internal quotation-related inquiries.

Reporting & Analytics

• Generate quotation status, pricing, and cost analysis reports.
• Track RFQ performance metrics and maintain quotation databases.
• Support management reporting through data collection and analysis. 

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Operations, or related discipline.
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Costing, Quotation Management, or related functions.
• Experience in EMS, Manufacturing, Electronics, or Procurement environments is preferred.
