To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Materials Planning Supervisor located in Orangeburg, SC.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager the Materials Planning Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the site Materials management, covering the full spectrum of Purchasing, Planning and Inventory management.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Directs the team in the use of best practices in the daily execution of finished goods and WIP planning
  • Manages, coaches and mentors a team. Works with the team on continuous development and performance management.
  • Directs activities of Planners to ensure that inventory level and turn goals are achieved, including reduction of back orders and enhancing customer service.
  • Meets with Senior Management to obtain strategic information that could impact the forecast. Works with team to modify the forecast for historical and environmental events. Works closely with different departments to accurately develop and maintain an accurate forecast.
  • Hold cross-functional meetings to review the Supply and Demand plan
  • Review issues and make recommendations that deal with long-term constraints, customer service levels, inventory targets, the current forecast, and backlog.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training. Typically requires a minimum of 4 years of related experience.
  • Demonstrates advanced functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.
  • Demonstrates expert knowledge of the function and a thorough understanding of Flex and related business.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of multiple functional technologies/processes, industries or functions and understanding of interdependencies of such processes at the site. Use of the following tools may be required: Office Skills: typing, telephones, data entry, HR related and office software to include, word processing, spread sheets, and presentation packages. Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational skills and some analytical skills.
  • Experience building or managing reports in excel and powerpoint.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, interest and discounts.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference to practical situations.
