To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Purchasing Manager Direct located in Guadalajara, North Campus.

Reporting to the Production Planning Supervisor the Purchasing Manager Direct role involves responsible of overseeing activities related to the procurement of Direct Planning materials, parts, In charge of helping materials and production functions. 

What a typical day looks like:

• Guides order processing activities for major customer units.

• Advises non-exempt associates regarding day-to-day priority of customer requests.

• Serves as advanced interface with customer for escalations of order dedications, order expedites, and problem resolution.

• Monitors and proactively addresses issues that impact performance to dedicated ship date time, reply time, and inventory goals.

• Coordinates and manages high-visibility and/or important customer programs.  May include initial customer or product startup initiatives or large customer programs.  

• Coordinates with Master Scheduler to manage product life cycle and related materials availability issues.

• Drives process improvements inside and outside the area of Order Management.  

• Plans, schedules, coordinates and approves product release to the production planning systems based on material and capacity availability.

• Provides input to management, reschedules, and /or interfaces with customer program management, master scheduling, customers and production control to reschedule production in the event of design changes, labor and material shortages, backlogs, and other potential schedule interruptions.

• May also hold up inventory control, supply chain management, material planning, and scheduling.

• Manages the activities of his subordinates

• Guides and coordinates the supply of raw materials to the corresponding destinations

• Supervise inventories

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and extensive knowledge of production planning and practices.

• Experience as a Production planning Manufacturing industry.

• Advanced English.

• Excell Advanced

• Ability to make data-driven decisions.

• Successful use of decision-making and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication skills

• Production planning and demand management

• Experience managing production schedules and work orders

• Strong follow-up on production execution and material floor

• Coordination of material supply to production lines

• Inventory accuracy control and cycle counting practice

• Inventory management

• Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OTD (On Time Delivery)

• Work order aging tracking and reporting
