Job Summary

Motion Controls International (MCi), a Flex company, is the global market leader in mirror glass and power-folding actuators. As part of our continued growth, MCi is expanding its portfolio into advanced automotive actuation solutions, including Active Aerodynamics and Motor Cooling Management systems.

To support our growing organization, we are looking for a Project Manager, who can lead mechatronic product development projects from concept through industrialization while delivering results on Cost, Quality and Time (CQT).

As Project Manager, you will lead development and cost-reduction projects for mechatronic products and related processes. You will be responsible for successful execution within the agreed scope, budget, quality targets and timelines.

You will lead multidisciplinary engineering teams. Depending on the project, the team may include specialists from Systems Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Test Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering.

What a typical day looks like

  • Lead multidisciplinary product development projects from concept through industrialization

  • Be accountable for project delivery regarding Cost, Quality and Time (CQT)

  • Define project scope, planning, milestones, budgets, risks, dependencies and resource needs

  • Lead project teams and drive collaboration across engineering disciplines

  • Conduct feasibility studies and support business case development

  • Monitor project progress and drive timely resolution of technical and project-related issues

  • Report project status, risks, budget performance and recovery plans to management and stakeholders

  • Manage customer-facing project communication and project commitments

  • Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders

  • Ensure projects are executed according to the company development process and governance model

  • Support successful transfer of products from development into manufacturing

The experience we're looking to add to our team

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering or a related technical discipline.

  • Minimum 3 years of end-to-end project management experience, with direct accountability for project Scope, Cost, Quality and Time (CQT) performance.

  • Responsibility for project commitments in previous project management roles

  • Proven experience leading multidisciplinary product development projects involving Hardware, Software and Mechanical Engineering disciplines.

  • Experience managing projects through a structured stage-gate or phase-gate development process.

  • Preferred experience in automotive or other regulated industries.

  • Preferred experience working in projects developed in an ASPICE environment.

  • Proven ability to create structure and clarity in complex or unclear situations, define priorities, align stakeholders, and drive the team toward decisions and results.

  • Customer-focused, results-driven and able to influence without direct authority.

  • Fluent in English.
