Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Sr. Process Engineer - Painting Area (Powder Coating) located in Guadalajara, North Campus.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Sr. Process Engineer role is responsible for powder painting processes, define controls, manual and automated processes for painting application. New product introduction among other activities.
What a typical day looks like:
- Lead a team of engineers and technicians.
- Work with automatized line and manual processes for painting application.
- Provide advanced technical support to production for process failure resolution.
- Actively participate in NPI, Transfers, and Ramp-ups. As well as process validations.
- Work with suppliers on new materials and new equipment acquisition.
- Ensure compliance with ESD, IPC, and Safety standards.
- Recognize the manufacturing process, technologies, techniques and the product
- Define, implement and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability.
- Have the capability to singly or with other engineering stakeholders identify root causes of failures in the manufacturing process
- High level participation in daily production activities and effective problem solving on daily issues
- Prepare justification, purchase and implement capital equipment for production.
- Hold up and oversee new process equipment production.
- Hold up the raising and introduction of engineering change orders (ECOs).
- Establish robust, repeatable and reproducible process parameters
- Develop, implement and take ownership of process control methodologies.
- Trouble shoot process related issues.
- Participate in activities pertaining to cycle time and process improvements.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- Strong English communication; operational, technical, speaking.
- 5+ years of experience in similar role working with powder painting application.
- Robust experience working with manufacturing processes and leading a team.
- Knowledge of new technologies such as automation, painting application with robots and infrared devices.
- Knowledge of wash tunnel.
- Ability to work on a fast paced environment with high demand.
