To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Supplier Quality Engineer located onsite in Austin, TX. The role involves selecting and qualifying suppliers based on quality, capability, pricing, and compliance with regulations.
What a typical day looks like:
- Collaborate with sourcing to choose suitable suppliers and implement qualification processes, including risk assessments and audits.
- Analyze customer specifications to propose optimizations for manufacturing processes.
- Manage PPAP processes, ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulations.
- Monitor quality during pilot runs and facilitate corrective actions to transition to mass production.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert to address supplier quality issues and conduct maintenance audits.
- Support suppliers in enhancing processes and product quality through quality tools.
- Handle ECO/ECN/SCR processes and ensure compliance with production requirements.
- Conduct audits to ensure adherence to ISO and regulatory standards, and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Collaborate with teams to select and develop suppliers, assess process controls, and guide process validations.
- Track supplier performance, drive continuous improvement, and manage supplier-related risks.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 5+ years of engineering experience in high-tech electronics or a related industry.
- SMT and PCBA experience highly preferred
- Expert level in data analysis
- Must have prior knowledge of ERP systems.
- Proficiency in various engineering tools and techniques, with strong technical and interpersonal skills.
- This role requires a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes and the ability to foster effective supplier relationships.
