The “Program Manager” will be based in …Guadalajara North…, reporting to …Sr.Director Operations Engineering…In this role, you will Enable integrated hardware and software design & engineering business opportunities that develop market-leading products, customizes and integrates these solutions to meet specific customer needs, and thereby enables and accelerates customers' product development initiatives. Drive definition of products in markets including consumer, industrial, medical, digital health, automotive, enterprise and cloud computing, IoT, etc. Work closely with the Director of Product Management to define market and product requirements and provide voice of the market and customer to the design & engineering teams in I&NV. Actively identify and assess new product opportunities and initiatives for customer designs and white label products. Work closely with design engineering to extract and develop core product features-advantages-benefits information to drive and support the product marketing strategy.
What a typical day looks like:
- Work effectively with leadership, Director of Product Management, design and engineering team, supply chain, and Flex customers and channel partners to identify requirements for a strong product offering and to execute the go-to-market strategy.
- Lead internal and customer focus groups to discuss functional capabilities and usability, and clarify design requirements and issues.
- Define clear market requirements for new or enhanced product offerings (market opportunity, usability, and customers) and gain leadership concurrence.
- Product lifecycle management (PLM) on at least one major product offering of.
- Identify competitive differentiation for products. Develop and maintain market knowledge on competitive technology products, industries, and trends in consumer, industrial, digital health, automotive, and smart cities markets. Perform quantitative and qualitative market research and competitive analysis that delivers actionable insights to influence key product and marketing decisions. Research, identify, and advise new opportunities in markets across different product lines, industries and the Innovation & New Ventures organization.
- Work with Segment CTO's and Segment team members and collect insights/feedback from Flex business units and potential customers to develop product positioning and messaging. Drive and support internal communications to segments and external communications to customers.
- Develop a deep understanding of product offerings and competitive advantages.
- Be a key spokesperson to advocate core product capabilities and potential opportunities. Effectively participate in promotion activities internally and with customers to represent various industry products, solutions, and value propositions
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
- BOM management
- Knowledge of ECO (Engineering Change Order) implementation
- Validation of MCNs (Material Change Notifications)
- Qualification and onboarding of new suppliers
- Experience with new products / NPI
- Fluent technical English
- People management and strong soft skills
- Self-directed; able to handle challenges and complex projects
