Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Technical Project Manager located in Guadalajara, North Campus

Reporting to the Director, Operations Engineering the Technical Project Manager role involves Lead the execution of the customer requirements, and through that deliver the projected value to Flex and its customers, using tools and initiatives of the company, to maintain business relationship and maximize customer satisfaction.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Drive the execution of product development, contributing technical expertise to product development, coordinating the development of new technologies with technical program engineers, and ensuring program timing and budgets are met
  • Drive definition of products in markets including consumer, industrial, medical, digital health, automotive, enterprise and cloud computing, IoT, etc.
  • Actively identify and assess new product opportunities and initiatives for customer designs and white label products. Work closely with design engineering to extract and develop core product features-advantages-benefits information to drive and support the product marketing strategy.
  • Translate customer's technical needs and requirements to the NPI and CFT teams
  • Knowledge of multiple functional technologies/ processes, industries or functions and understanding of inter-dependencies of such processes at the site
  • Establish and ensure effective achievement of functional strategic plans and objectives for the site and may have P&L responsibilities.
  • Develops plans for structuring and implementing major initiatives
  • Lead program team, including regular team meetings and updates to management.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor´s Degree in Industrial Engineer, Electronic Engineer, Mechatronics or related.
  • Advanced experience in similar position
  • Solid knowledge of failure analysis and test equipment
  • knowledge and experience in product, process and testing engineering.
  • Advance English (mandatory)
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing industry
  • Strong knowledge in PCBA process
  • Knowledge with technical manufacturing process (Capabilities, rate, etc.)
  • Experience with OTD, Yields, CTBs, P&L analysis, plan attainment
  • BAAN, SAP, Oracle (Preferred)
  • Organized, mediating, persuasive.
  • Advanced MS Office (Power point)
  • Demonstrates advanced operations, technical and people and/or process skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of multiple functional technologies/ processes, industries or functions and understanding of interdependencies of such processes at the site.
  • Accountability for the program wellness.
  • Demonstrates expert knowledge of the function and a thorough understanding of Flex and related business.
  • Demonstrates detailed expertise in very complex functional/ technical area or broad breadth of knowledge in multiple areas.
  • Understands the strategic impact of the function across sites.
