Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Test Engineer located in Guadalajara, North Campus.

Reporting to the Test Engineer Manager the Test Engineer is responsible for directing and coordinating electronic engineering and technical personnel involved in the design, fabrication, integration, and execution of testing systems, test control equipment, and software-based test solutions. The role supports functional and system integration testing of complex electronic and power systems in a manufacturing and NPI environment.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Directs and/or coordinates electronic engineering and technical personnel in the execution and support of testing systems, test control apparatus, equipment, and software/system testing in a manufacturing environment.

  • Leads electronic engineering activities related to the deployment, installation, calibration, verification, and use of test instruments, equipment, and control devices required to validate product functionality and capture accurate test data.

  • Performs and supports functional testing with a strong emphasis on system integration testing of assembled electronic and power systems.

  • Interfaces and collaborates closely with scientific, engineering, manufacturing, and technical teams to diagnose and resolve system‑level issues, including product malfunctions, yield losses, incomplete test data, data interpretation challenges, or software-related problems.

  • Evaluates and interprets test data to identify failure modes and prepares technical reports used by electronic engineering, software engineering, operations, management, and customer teams.

  • Develops, modifies, or utilizes existing software and hardware tools to support automated or semi‑automated functional and integration testing.

  • Uses programming languages such as Python and PHP to support test automation, data analysis, and troubleshooting activities.

  • Provides technical leadership and daily floor support to a team of approximately 20 test technicians, including training on test hardware, software, and structured problem‑solving methodologies.

  • Drives test yield improvement by performing root cause analysis, coordinating corrective actions, and monitoring sustainable improvements.

  • Performs and supports equipment verification, commissioning, and integration in production lines.

  • Creates, maintains, and updates test and process documentation in alignment with Flex and customer requirements.

  • Supports AI rack integration projects, including electrical validation and system‑level functional testing.

  • Works directly with power electronics and three‑phase systems during system integration and troubleshooting activities.

  • Provides hands‑on technical support during New Product Introduction (NPI) phases.

  • Maintains ongoing written and verbal communication with customers and internal cross‑functional teams.

  • Supports flexible schedules as required by production and project needs.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • BA/BS in Electronics, Mechatronics or similar.

  • Senior-level experience focused on functional testing, system integration, and troubleshooting within a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong practical knowledge of power electronics and three‑phase systems.

  • Programming experience using Python, PHP, or similar languages, mainly applied to test support and automation.

  • Proven experience leading or coordinating technical teams; direct management of test technicians is required.

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including root cause analysis and yield improvement.

  • Experience supporting NPI activities (strong plus).

  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and customers, both written and verbal in English and Spanish.

  • Strong organizational skills and comfort working in fast‑paced production environments.

  • Availability of schedule and willingness to travel as required.
