Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Warehouse Manager located in Guadalajara, North Campus

Reporting to the Sr Warehouse Manager the Warehouse Manager role involves implement a successful operation by managing all distribution, warehouse functions. Provides materials, equipment, and supplies by directing receiving, warehousing, and distribution services, supervising staff.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
  • In charge of inventory control in Warehouse.
  • Leadership of warehouse supervisors in charge.
  • Generation of new processes for warehouse logistics.
  • Movements of materials between external warehouses.
  • Application of CAR tools, 8D's, Pareto diagrams, etc.
  • Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
  • Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
  • Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Monitors volume of business and determines appropriate work schedule.
  • Sets productivity and establishes necessary controls to ensure objectives are met.
  • Monitors condition and maintenance of operating / material handling equipment.
  • Constantly monitors the efficient handling of shipments and receipts to create an error free culture.
  • Reviews the loading and unloading schedules to maximize efficiencies and reduce expenses.
  • Coordinate floor cycle counts, physical inventory and reconciling records.
  • Generation of metrics for correct execution of methods and processes.
  • Control of transport routes.
  • Control of use and maintenance of forklifts.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor´s Degree in Administration or related.
  • Experience in warehouse and logistics management in the Automotive industry
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing. (Green or Black belt Preferred)
  • Intermediate-Advanced English
  • MS Office (Excel, PP)
  • Knowledge of ERP system (SAP, Baan or similar).
  • Knowledge of inventory management and control, Kanban system, pull system, kiting, full reel and cut, drip delivery.
  • Basic knowledge of Cycle Counts.
  • Demonstrates mastery of functional knowledge in relation to other functions and a complete understanding of the function and those of related businesses.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
