Summary: At Fusion Academy, the Director of Student Life plays a pivotal role in shaping a vibrant, inclusive, and emotionally safe school culture where every student feels seen, heard, and celebrated. This dynamic leader cultivates student engagement through clubs, events, leadership opportunities, and social-emotional programming, making school a place students truly love. They also oversee the Homework Cafe, which is a student community space where we bring our 'homework stays at school' commitment to life. Salary Range: $54,000-$58,000
What You'll Do Every Day:
- Lead the Homework Café experience, empowering students to build executive functioning and complete independent work with confidence.
- Foster a warm, inclusive, and emotionally safe environment by modeling strong social-emotional skills and positive relationships.
- Bring student life to life by planning and facilitating engaging clubs, field trips, service projects, workshops, and community events.
- Recruit, train, and support Homework Café staff, cultivating a high-performing and student-centered team.
- Use student assessments and surveys to guide meaningful, data-informed improvements in programming and support.
- Partner in professional development to strengthen staff capacity around social, emotional, behavioral, and executive functioning support.
- Inspire excellence by leading with integrity, modeling best practices, and driving a culture of continuous growth and connection.
What You Will Own:
- Create the Annual Student Programming Plan to build a vibrant and engaged student community.
- Administer the MAP and Mindprint assessments.
- Administer the New Student Survey, Spring Student Survey, and Student Exit Survey.
- Manage Homework Café (community and resource learning space).
- Participate in organization-wide collaboration and development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Experience working at the middle or high school age level.
- Experience working with students impacted by learning differences and/or mental health challenges.
- Passionate about working with adolescents and supporting their growth.
- Exhibits a unique and fun personality to support a vibrant student culture while maintaining healthy boundaries.
- Demonstrates high emotional intelligence and ability to relate well to others.
- Possesses strong time management and organizational skills.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. *If a bonus applies, more information will be given at offer.
