Description
The Functional Systems Trainer will play a key role in developing associate knowledge of the Relex system as well as other systems utilized within the Inventory Department at Harbor Freight Tools. This position will be responsible for training in all departments and at all levels within Inventory, utilizing system modules, expertise and excellent interpersonal skills. The Functional Systems Trainer will provide continuous support for system enhancements, conduct virtual trainings as needed to successfully integrate end users, create SOPs, and ensure training materials are relevant and accurate.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Create and deliver standard training programs for multiple positions within Inventory
- Develop ongoing training material for various positions within the organization
- Identify areas where additional training may be needed based on user requests, etc
- Develop SOPs for new processes/process changes and monitor to ensure processes are being followed
- Assist with the rollout of new programs or system
- Collaborate with various departments to tailor systems training content
- Update systems knowledge when updates or upgrades occur
- Lateral and group onboarding support
- Develop system expertise to become a SME for technical on business design of the system
- Conduct hands-on training sessions virtually or in person
- Design and implement effective onboarding systems training programs

- Decision making: Role will influence key stakeholders by recommending steps and actions for future system enhancements, SOPs and training initiatives.

Requirements
Education and Experience
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science or other related field of study required.
Years of Experience
- 5+ years of expert level experience in Relex Inventory Planning software, coupled with relevant job experience within the context of retail. Additional experience in other Inventory planning systems or demand forecasting tools beneficial.
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated experience or knowledge of SQL, Python, Tableau, Data Bricks or other technical tools for data analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to identify training requirements for specific job functions and develop training programs and training materials for ongoing system enhancements
- Experience in completing the research necessary to develop and revise SOPs, Quick Reference Guides and training programs
- Relex Super User with demonstrated experience in being a go-to expert, the first level of assistance when questions arise during training or when end users need assistance completing a system transaction.
- Demonstrated ability to positively influence and inspire continuous improvement

- Stand, walk, sit for extended periods of time.
- Speak and listen to others in person and over the phone and video conferencing.
- Use keyboard and read from computer screen and reports.
- The ability to lift up to 15 lbs.
