Description

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Achieve productivity levels to ensure throughput is in line with incoming freight 
  • Data collection (accurate & timely data collection)
  • Perform in multiple departmental functions
  • Operate  material handling equipment as needed
  •  Properly evaluate product & sort into corresponding categories (As-Is, Liquidator, Scrap)
  • Certified & operates all lift trucks within the department (if applicable to job function)
  • Adherence to all company policies to include all safety rules
  • Additional duties as assigned by manager
  • Regular attendance is a requirement of the position.
  • Assists in coordinating proper & efficient product flow to ensure all functions of the business are serviced in a timely  manner with lift trucks (if applicable to job function)
  • QA focused; consistent & accurate documentation
  • Willingness to engage& actively participate in department safety initiatives
  • Flexibility in tasks

Requirements

Skills (Required)
  • Basic mathematic skills to include an understanding of geometry in order to build stable pallets

Skills (Preferred / Desired)
  • Ability to create new and unique ideas and an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Proficient using standard Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)

Experience (Required)
  • Productivity (100%+ within the last 6 months)
  • No documented attendance issues within the last 6 months/no active documentation at or above a written warning
  • Successfully & Consistently executes Material Handler job duties for the last 6 months (if applicable to job function)
Physical Requirements
  • Sit or stand continuously over the course of a work day
  • Intermittently dismount lift truck to rework or stabilize product, as needed
  • Ability to safely lift, lower and carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly over the course of a work day
  • Ability to safely lift, lower and carry up to 50 pounds with or without assistance as needed to be safe over the course of a work day
  • Ability to safely team lift, lower and carry items over 50 pounds over the course of a work day
  • Grasping, pushing, and pulling of materials on an intermittent basis over the course of a work day
  • Reaching and working above and below the shoulder level on an intermittent basis over the course of a work day
  • Bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, and reaching heights on an intermittent basis over the course of a work day

Must be able to perform this job safely in accordance with standard operating procedures and good manufacturing practices, without endangering the health or safety of self or others.

The anticipated rate for this position is $23.00 per hour depending on location, knowledge, skills, education and experience. In addition, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits to Associates (and  their families) such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability. Eligible Associates are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan. Associates will accrue paid time off up to
152 hours per year (inclusive of PTO, floating holidays, and paid holidays). Paid sick time up to 64 hours per year unless otherwise required by law.
