Description
The Manager, Warehouse & Logistics role is responsible for leading and developing a high-performing team focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence. This role involves mentoring staff, optimizing processes through collaboration with internal teams, and ensuring efficient warehouse operations by analyzing data, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), and implementing strategies to meet business objectives. The manager will also be actively engaged in training, communication, and resolving operational issues while maintaining a hands-on approach to support the team when needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing, results driven team with an emphasis on continuous improvement and collaboration.
- Mentor and coach staff, offering hands-on training to build skills and improve performance.
- Develop and implement training tools related to standard operating procedures.
- Motivate the team, provide regular feedback, and address performance issues to maintain high levels of engagement and productivity.
- Provide coverage for team members and perform general warehouse duties as needed to maintain seamless warehouse operations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and partners to meet business objectives, ensure smooth operations, and resolve issues.
- Monitor and report on team performance through key metrics (KPIs) to drive task completion.
- Proactively identify improvement opportunities and escalate critical roadblocks impacting warehouse operations by collaborating with cross-functional partners.
- Manage warehouse layout to optimize space, streamline operations, and ensure a clean and safe work environment.
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of technical documentation and correspondence.

Requirements
Education and Experience
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate's degree in economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or similar field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) or warehouse management software (WMS)
- Experience with data analysis, performance metrics (KPIs), and strategic planning.
- Proven track record of process optimization, team development, and driving operational efficiencies.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Expertise in warehouse operations (inventory, shipping, receiving).
- Proficient in warehouse management software (WMS) and inventory tools.
- Ability to analyze performance metrics and recommend improvements.
- Ability to optimize processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in operational issues.
- Ability to train, develop, and motivate warehouse staff.
