Description

The Quality Inspector II is responsible for inspecting incoming products, as well as finished goods inventory, in a warehouse/shop environment. Ensure product meets C.P.I requirements in safety, function, packaging, labeling, and can be released for sale to the general public.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop inspection checklists from product specifications and engineering test reports.
  • Write SCARs on non-conforming product.
  • Perform random inspections of existing SKUs in DC inventory, as well as incoming products, upon being unloaded from containers in a warehouse/shop environment.
  • Ensure that the products meet requirements for quality, safety, function, packaging, labeling, weights, dimensions and workmanship.
  • Write inspection reports and maintain tracker status. Document all non-conformances and provide detail.
  • Apply acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.
  • Follow established QA procedures.
  • Perform 100% screen / rework on non-conforming products
  • Fill in for Senior Inspector when needed.
  • Additional duties as assigned by the QA Supervisor.

Requirements

Job Qualifications –
Education and Experience:
  • Requires a minimum of 3 to 5 years of related job experience  
  • Must be reliable and a team player
  • Good written and communication skills
  • Tool knowledge is required.
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Some assembly and functional field testing of products will be required.   

Physical Requirements
General warehouse environment requiring ability to:

 
  • Stand, walk, sit for extended periods of time
  • Lift up to 35 to 50 lbs
  • Must excel at working and leading in a team environment
  • Must have an ability to communicate clearly at all levels of management & employees - through verbal and written communications
  • Must have the requisite computer skills to effectively manage all aspects of a project

The candidate must be able to perform this job safely in accordance with standard operating procedures and good manufacturing practices, without endangering the health or safety of self or others.

The anticipated rate for this position is $29.00 per hour depending on location, knowledge, skills, education and experience. In addition, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits to Associates (and  their families) such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability. Eligible Associates are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan. Associates will accrue paid time off up to 152 hours per year (inclusive of PTO, floating holidays, and paid holidays). Paid sick time up to 64 hours per year unless otherwise required by law.
