Description

The Recruiter I, is a collaborative team player who works closely with the internal recruiting team and company hiring managers to source and recruit the best candidates for open positions. The Recruiter I, is responsible for sourcing, screening, and recommending top talent for associate level positions across the organization. As a member of the Talent Acquisition team, you will be a brand ambassador to both candidates and Harbor Freight Tools associates.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Source, screen, and interview candidates for associate level positions across the organization, with a specific focus on high volume roles         
  • Conduct effective intake calls with hiring managers, gathering information to create a targeted recruiting strategy for each open position     
  • Maintain clear communication to prospective candidates and business partners
  • Work closely with hiring managers to create an efficient interviewing process         
  • Act as a company ambassador to potential candidates and associates by providing information regarding the company culture, benefits, and growth opportunities    
  • Manage the end-to-end screening and interview process, assisting in interview scheduling and maintaining communication with candidates throughout the hiring process   
  • Maintain a close relationship with operational partners to proactively recruit for high-turnover positions 
  • Resourcefully navigate through complexity and ambiguity    
  • Prepare recruiting reports and presentations to show progress and effectiveness of recruiting initiatives 
  • Follow all standardized processes within ATS to track candidate activity     
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience by maintaining an accurate calendar and a commitment to timeliness          
  • Proactively gather interview feedback and ensure timely follow up to candidates on changes in status   
  • Leverage alternative resources to identify talent

Requirements

Education and Experience
  • High School or GED, must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma/ GED or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience within Recruiting/Talent Acquisition or general marketing
Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Familiarity with sourcing tools including job postings, social media, applicant tracking systems and other recruiting systems
  • Detail oriented, analytical and a self-starter
  • Planning and Priority Setting: Focused to ensure critical tasks are prioritized appropriate
  • Organizational Agility: Understands the purpose and stakeholders of Harbor Freight practices, policies, procedures, and systems
  • Strong teamwork skills with track record of collaboration, accountability and proactively anticipating the needs of the team and the business
  • Relationship focused and passionate about the candidate experience.
  • Ability to adapt through varying tasks and priorities. Learns quickly when facing new problems, systems, or applications.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient in many applicant tracking systems, preferably Brass Ring
  • Ability to effectively challenge and influence leadership

Physical Requirements
Corporate - Remote - General office environment requiring ability to: *Stand, walk, sit for extended periods of time. *Speak and listen to others in person and over the phone and video conferencing. *Use keyboard and read from computer screen and reports. *The ability to lift up to 15 lbs.
