Description
The Senior Analyst drives and informs key strategic decisions through in depth data analysis and modeling. In this role, you will leverage strong technical skills to promote data-driven decision making. You will be adept at working with various data sources and modeling/programming platforms (including Excel, Databricks, Netezza, etc.) and perform additional project-based analyses as required. This role will support the ongoing effort to define/develop and enhance reporting and data capabilities within the organization. Additionally, this role will lead compliance-focused analytics and reporting initiatives, designing data frameworks and developing dashboards to support regulatory requirements and enable consistent, data-driven decision making across stakeholders. This role will include occasional presentations to senior executives within the company.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead data analysis to support compliance-focused decision making (e.g., data capturing design, storage, analysis, maintenance and reporting). Provide reports to support compliance programs designed to comply with federal and state laws applicable to product and packaging materials.
- Design, develop, and maintain reporting (e.g., Tableau or custom databases and dashboards) for key metrics to enable key stakeholders to aggregate and view data as needed for decision making on a regular basis
- Support company initiatives to track and report progress on packaging reduction efforts, including data capture, management, and analysis
- Partner effectively with other team members and cross-functionally to build data-driven solutions from large data sets that support business insight, enhanced analytics, and/or greater efficiencies
- Perform ad hoc, data-driven analyses to support cross-functional partners including merchandising, marketing, sourcing, etc. through use of extensive sales, customer, and product data
- Drive efforts to improve processes and efficiency in support of key strategic decision making across business functions
- Develop a strong understanding of available data sets and business needs to enable efficient turnaround for fast-based business requests
- Create and deliver presentations to leadership summarizing key insights from data analysis and providing necessary input and recommendations for key business decisions
- Establish and maintain close working relationships with functional teams, team leaders, and all key accounting and finance personnel

The anticipated salary range for this position is $87,600.00– $131,500.00 depending on location, knowledge, skills, education and experience. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits to Associates (and their families) such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability. Eligible Associates are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan. Associates will accrue paid time off up to 236 hours per year (inclusive of PTO, floating holidays, and paid holidays). Paid sick time up to 80 hours per year unless otherwise required by law.

Education and Experience
Education Requirements
- BA/BS in a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, etc.)
- 4-6 years' experience in analytics/data analysis, finance/accounting, or other roles with experience handling and analyze large sets of data
- Skills
- Expert level proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn and synthesize retail business operations and applicable regulatory requirements, translating insights into actionable analysis and recommendations for cross-functional stakeholders
- Direct experience with SQL, IBM Netezza, Databricks is a plus; ability to learn new coding languages and modeling capabilities is required
- Experience using and/or creating visualization techniques for presenting large data sets in an easily digestible fashion to various stakeholders within the organization
- Experience querying large, complex data sets
- Superior analytical skills and intellectual curiosity with the ability to develop and manage complex financial models
- Proven ability to build strong relationships at all levels throughout an organization
- Experience as a strategic thinker with the ability to translate strategies into financial plans
- Demonstrated experience operationalizing analytics and insights into business processes
- A self-directed individual able to adapt quickly to changes in priorities and business conditions
- Experience, and comfort, working in a fast-paced business environment with ability to consistently meet tight deadlines
- Well-developed presentation skills
