Description
Provides nursing care and all related activities of the Day Surgery (DS), PACU, and Pre-Admissions according to the Policies, Procedures, Philosophy and Objectives of the hospital and department. As a Peri-Anesthesia Nurse (PA-RN) is responsible for providing, coordinating and directing individualized, comprehensive nursing care to all patients based upon the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
Job Requirements: Current Washington State RN license. PACU/DS experience preferred. Three (3) years acute care clinical nursing experience required or 1 year CCU/Emergency experience may be given preference. Lift 40 pounds from floor to waist; lift 5 pounds over head; lift 40 pounds from wheelchair to bed level; pull 50 pounds from stretcher to bed; push 150 pound loaded stretcher 300 feet. Flexibility: kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, squatting, climbing onto a stretcher. Meet specific criteria for individual nursing unit. BLS and ACLS required. PALS required or must obtain within one (1) month of hire. Ability to work at fast pace and multitask. Must be able to take call in PACU on a scheduled basis.
