Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports assembly, troubleshooting, and testing efforts
  • Works under close supervision on unusual or difficult problems
  • Assists the HDT Services Team to help them fulfill customer's expectations.
  • Works from standard drawings, operation sheets, engineering specifications and sketches
  • Uses judgment in re-working to bring unit within quality control specifications
  • Interprets and follows written documents such as SOPS and safety rules
  • Ensures compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements applicable to the company in accordance with State and Federal regulations and any applicable certification required to maintain the certification
  • Interfaces with other departments to assure efficient flow of information and materials
  • Performs key performance Indicators:
    • Meet production deadlines
    • Quality of finished product (Pass/fail rates)
    • Raw material stock levels
    • Compliance outcomes

QUALIFICATIONS:

 EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • High School diploma.
  • 1 to 5 years of experience in Engineering support, production, and fabrication.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and problem solve
  • Excellent communication skills; able to communicate effectively with management and personnel at all levels.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work a varied schedule, willing to work overtime when necessary
  • Possesses strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in standard business software packages (e.g., Microsoft Office).

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job:

  • Work is accomplished in a moderately clean plant environment
  • The production floor does not have a cooling system
  • The sound level in the work environment may fluctuate due to noises associated with manufacturing process
  • Regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil and/or fumes

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Performs all work in accordance with safety, workmanship and good housekeeping specifications
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee alternates between sitting and standing/walking for long periods of time
  • Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs., occasional lifting up to 75 lbs
  • Ability to climb ladders, bend, kneel, work overhead with arms, and sit or stand for several hours at a time
  • Eye/hand coordination required, with steady and agile hands to operate equipment and tools
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as required per plant rules.

TRAINING:

  • New employee safety orientation and training on special tools or software required for job performance
