Essential Duties:
- Based on the MPS driven demand or Backlog Orders, selects and sequences available jobs to be run on the shop floor – taking into account the DPAS ratings on orders where applicable
- Meets weekly with Integrated Program Teams to review all pending and recently received demands
- Manages overall workload of the shop and align resources as needed to maintain balance (Where App)
- Drives improvement of current planning systems, functions and daily operations to more effectively meet goals
- Maintains manufacturing build plans on a daily basis to meet the delivery schedules
- Creates and maintains the expected completion of each scheduled job
- Reviews the schedule and ensures the raw materials are available when required
- Creates and manages a forward-looking plan in ERP system to generate purchase requisitions
- Monitor material deliveries to support the run schedules
- Ensures all outside services are planned and monitored
- Consolidates demand for purchase requisitions
- Highlights critical parts and any issue, which may keep operations from meeting the MPS
Education/Experience/Other Skills & Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in Business/Operations or related discipline preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Three (3) plus years of extensive experience in production planning (defense procurement highly preferred) with strong background in project material management and a strong understanding of MRP systems, SAP desired
