Description

We are currently seeking a Senior Strategic Planning & Workplace Consultant to join our team in Texas (Houston, Dallas or Austin).  In this role, you are responsible for working independently on projects/tasks with periodic supervision to deliver project work and develop project approaches with clients. We are looking for an individual that enjoys making data driven decisions and creating compelling presentations to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Leads and manages diverse sizes and complexity of projects in multiple service line offerings, including: Real Estate and Occupancy Planning, Facilities Strategies, Master Planning, and Workplace Strategy.
  • Typically performs complex analysis tasks and problem solving on projects (e.g. developing and analyzing surveys, functional relationship analysis, highest and best use studies, supply and demand, utilization analysis, stacking & blocking, project schedules, site and zoning analysis, organizational analysis, workplace activity analysis, personnel forecasting, space type analysis, density analysis, efficiency ratios, and capacity models).
  • Facilitates the integration of findings and analysis into the Planning, Architecture, and Interior Design process.
  • Generates and qualifies project opportunities, developing sales strategies, and making sales calls and presentations.
  • Prepares letter proposals, work plans, and closing sales.
  • Involved in the preparation of proposals, including project approach and definition of deliverables, supports marketing pursuits, including preparing leave behind and qualification packages, and supports business development efforts.
  • Generates examples of new deliverables and innovative delivery processes.
  • Undertakes multiple project assignments in parallel and works on project assignments with multiple location teams.
  • Achieves project profitability.
  • Maintains client communications and quality assurance.
  • Outlines, generates, and writes client reports and deliverable text clearly and comprehensibly.
  • Distills complex information to the essential detail for client decision-making.
  • Draws conclusions and records them concisely and succinctly.
  • Understands financial and real estate analysis terms performed for master planning and facility planning projects.
  • Proactively engages junior staff and identifies opportunities for career development.
  • Makes presentations to client groups and local conferences.
  • Participates in professional organizations within the local area.
Required Skills
  • Strong data analysis and strong spreadsheet capabilities are essential components, and accuracy and precision are required. Experience in data visualization, a process to represent information graphically in a meaningful way to make it easier to understand and analyze, is expected.
  • Knowledge of tools for data visualization and business intelligence to transform data into actionable insights, create compelling visualizations, and support data-driven decisions.
  • Skills to tailor or develop reports and dashboards to specific needs, including visuals, themes, and interactivity to create visually appealing data presentations in Power BI is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are critical and required. Technical writing experience is a plus.
  • Graphic software skills with Affinity and/or Adobe Suite are required.
  • Understanding of Revit or CAD software is required.
  • Advanced skills in software applications such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word are expected.
  • Understanding of business intelligence software like MS Power BI is preferred.
  • Understanding of MS Access and Arc GIS is preferred.
  • Ability to complete tasks and produce deliverables fully independently.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in planning, architecture, real estate, interiors or directly relevant university education.
  • Dual degree preferred, or significant consulting project experience.
  • At least 7 years of previous applicable experience, including experience in multiple building types, and experience in two or more consulting service offerings.
  • Change Management certifications are a plus.
