Position Description: HUB Manager
The HUB Manager plays a key and critical role in ensuring daily projects and Hub responsibilities are moving along as safely and efficiently as possible. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide leadership support, direction, and technical training and development of the teams, constantly moving towards efficiency. In order to accomplish this, a HUB Manager must train field leadership and ensure daily performance of all safety checks, job-site management, and people and operations management.
Specific Duties:
Help safely lead and move along various residential construction projects with responsibilities including….
- Work both on and in the business to ensure operational and people-effectiveness in all day-to-day functional areas.
- Lead, train, and help the team in everchanging, daily projects with responsibilities such as site and foundation planning and construction, finishing homes on site, transporting equipment, framing, roofing, and other hands-on, construction tasks.
- Develop key performance goals for field leaders and manage the performance of the entire team, working to hold teams accountable, grow, develop, and train.
- Create and implement strategies for business growth from growing customer base, equipment needs, operational functions, etc.
- Hire, retain, train new team members in partnership with field leaders. Consult with HR and Operations teams on ideal workforce planning and recruiting needs and strategies.
- Manage all team members at the Hub location, owning performance development, performance counseling, promotions, demotions, etc.
- Ensure that all departments deliver quality offerings to customers, on time and with a positive attitude and knowledgeable skillset.
- Brainstorm, idea share, and create new and innovative solutions to meet customer needs.
- Constantly work to improve internal processes for better productivity.
- Train field leaders on and build efficiencies with scheduling, safety, quality, team management, and jobsite management to ensure the jobsites are completed as effectively and efficiently as possible.
- Always look ahead, anticipating needs of the team and project, and problem solving.
- Lead Transportation and Crew Chief teams to make sure everyone is working together in the best ways as well as adequately staffed.
- Other duties, as required and requested by leadership.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of various construction experience. Experience with leading, coaching, and mentoring teams a plus. Experience successfully owning and managing a P&L.
- Ability to work in all outdoor conditions (extreme heat/cold, rain/snow) while leading and motivating teams.
- Excellent driving record; CDL or additional driving certifications a plus.
- Safety certifications (OSHA certifications, First Aid, CPR, etc.) a plus.
- You enjoy training and enforcing a positive, high paced environment within your team.
- You are comfortable with heights (using/safely climbing a ladder) and crawl spaces and can lift up to 50 lbs.
- Committed to a high level of customer satisfaction and takes pride in your work.
- Strong communication, analytical and reasoning skills.
- Professional and friendly customer service-oriented attitude.
- Knowledge and comfortability in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Able to stand, stoop, push, pull, bend and climb consistently throughout a workday.
