Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Industrial Automation Engineer to drive innovation and efficiency in our copacking, warehousing and logistics operations. As part of our automation team, you will design, implement, and optimize robotic and automation solutions to improve material handling, order fulfillment, and warehouse productivity. This role requires a strong technical background in robotics, industrial automation, and system integration. Work Location: This role will need to be within a commutable distance of Atlanta, GA, Chicago, IL, or Columbus, OH. Work Schedule: First Shift - Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm Eastern Standard Time. Work Travel: Up to 50-75% work travel. Compensation: Attractive annual salary of $100,000 - $105,000 plus a performance-based bonus, with benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and more. Responsibilities: * Design, develop, and deploy robotic systems (AMRs, AGVs, cobots, industrial robots) for warehouse and fulfillment operations. * Evaluate and optimize conveyor systems, AS/RS, sortation, and pick-and-place solutions to enhance operational efficiency. * Proven expertise with sensors, motors, PLCs, and industrial automation. * Conduct cycle time analysis, layout optimization, and process improvement initiatives to maximize throughput. * Identify faults, troubleshoot issues, and enhance control solutions for automated equipment. * Analyze data and performance trends to drive continuous improvement and increase warehouse productivity. * Work closely with automation maintenance teams to ensure efficient system management. * Develop bid documentation, coordinate the bid process, and assist with vendor selection to procure equipment/services. * Act as a Project Manager, coordinating all implementation teams (internal, vendors, customers) for installation, testing, and commissioning. * Collaborate with vendors and integrators to maintain and improve system reliability. * Ability to adapt quickly to changes in project scope, schedule, and cost. Minimum Requirements: * Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields. * This position is 2- 4 years’ work experience. * Strong leadership, business problem definition, and priority setting skills * An aptitude for communicating insights and collaborating. Presentation across teams/organizations * This position will require travel 50% -75% Preferred Qualifications: * Experience working in a manufacturing environment or, automation provider/integrator and/or retailer/e-commerce company with knowledge in manufacturing or warehousing automation systems. * Knowledge of automation projects involving either of the following: new equipment implementation, robotics, AMRs, AGVs etc. * Experience with industrial PLC * Experience with computer and industrial networks. * Knowledge of AutoCAD for Basic Layout designing #BG #IND123 Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Disabled
