Description

Responsible for providing direction to Forklift Operators, training, assigning work, and resolving problems within area of responsibility. Operates gasoline-, liquefied gas-, or electric-powered industrial equipment equipped with lifting devices, such as sit-down, stand-up, clamp or other elevating equipment to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials from rail cars in distribution center or storage yard.



  • Operates industrial powered lift truck in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Assist and supports with training employees and certifies newly hired LTOs.

  • In the absence of the Shift Supervisor the Lead will act as Supervisor as needed

  • Inventories materials on work floor and supply workers with materials as needed.

  • Assists Supervisors and management of the facility in planning, assigning and directing work.

  • Assist LTO's with daily issues.

  • Assist other Leads and Supervisors with ensuring that policies, procedures, and best practices are being followed.

  • Need to Case Pick daily and/or as needed based on business needs.

  • Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed.

  • Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Assist with onboarding and safety training. 

  • Assist the Ops Managers, Supervisors and GM/HRM with special projects.

  • Schedule flexibility is a must base on business needs.  


Schedule: Mon-Fri   0600-3:30


 


Pay rate: $22.00  



Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to successfully complete post-hire assessments.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain equipment certifications (e.g. OSHA, company, etc.).
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment appropriate for the work environment (e.g. protective footwear, protective eyewear, gloves, etc.) in accordance with safety policies.
  • Proficient with Microsoft word and Excel
  • Must have good and professional communication skills. 
  • Must be a team player and embrace changes.
